Charity Band night success

We are delighted to announce that the Challney Community Band has in just two concerts raised over £600 for our Centre. We are especially grateful to Richard Guest and Bill Bell for their time and energy in making the evenings possible.

Last weeks performance, by over 35 talented musicians, was exceptional, with high quality performances across a diverse range of music, from Gustav Holst,  Benny Goodman and Latino Jazz through to the Beatles, with the evening culminating in a Lord of the Rings medley.

Mick Dillon, Chief Executive said on behalf of The Disability Resource Centre "The Challney Community Band continues to amaze me, with its exceptional high quality performances and professionalism. It was a wonderful nights entertainment that I would recommend to everyone."  

The Band and Resource Centre are currently planning the possibility of a gala variety evening sometime next year.
