Invitation to the MS Society Information Day

The Centre is pleased to announce that it has been invited to lead an Information Session at the MS Society event at Woburn Abbey on the 4th June 2007.

The event, from 9.30 am to 4.30pm, is being hosted by the Leighton Buzzard and District MS branch, and has a series of guest speakers, including the Chief Executive of the Society, Simon Gillespie, and a number of leading clinicians working with multiple sclerosis.

The event will provide information and advice on a number of key topics, including advice for carers, health and relationships, complementary therapies and possible options for arranging alternative care packages, namely Direct Payments.

The Disability Resource Centre currently supports over 700 individuals, across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes to arrange and manage their own care packages, covering a wide range of disabilities, thereby offering choice and control to suit a persons own needs and requirements.
