Centre welcome Council Chief Executive and Leader

In recognition of the recent International Day for People with Disabilities, we welcomed Luton Borough Councils Kevin Crompton (Chief Executive) and Cllr Hazel Simmons (Leader of the Council) to our Centre.

The Centre hosted Luton Borough Councils Disability Access and Advisory Forum, where local people with disabilities are able to discuss with both Councillors and Council Officers, issues and decisions which may affect their independence and choice. 

Topics discussed included Luton Town Centre redevelopment, Access to Council Buildings, Accessible Transport provision, Local Authority Housing and Disability Equality Action Plans.
